# Visiting Charlotte with toddlers and little kids: the plan

> Charlotte works for a family trip because uptown keeps the indoor stops close, with the Raptor Center and the Whitewater Center as the outdoor days. Here’s how we’d spend one or two days with a nap in the middle.

- Parking, Carolina Raptor Center: Free at the Visitor Center lot, with overflow parking on busy days.
- Parking, U.S. National Whitewater Center: $13 per car. There’s no fee to walk in, and outside food isn’t allowed.
- Parking, ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center: The garage under the building (entrance on E 6th St) is free for 2 hours if you validate at the Welcome Desk. It takes credit cards only.
