> Chattanooga is very walkable for a family trip. The Aquarium, the Creative Discovery Museum and the library are all downtown, and Coolidge Park is right across the river. Here’s how we’d spend one or two days with nap in the middle.

## Practical tips

- Parking, Tennessee Aquarium: Several paid lots sit near the Aquarium, and a free shuttle loops around downtown.
- Parking, Creative Discovery Museum: There are several paid lots nearby, including one directly behind the museum. The free downtown electric shuttle stops close by.
- Parking, Ruby Falls: Parking is free.
- Parking, Chattanooga Zoo: Parking is free.
- Strollers and accessibility, Tennessee Aquarium: Strollers are allowed inside, but there are no rentals. They aren’t allowed in the IMAX theater, which has stroller parking in the lobby.
- Strollers and accessibility, Creative Discovery Museum: Stroller parking is very limited. Borrow a free umbrella stroller at Guest Relations with an ID.
- Strollers and accessibility, Ruby Falls: The cave isn’t stroller accessible because of steps and narrow passages. Park the stroller in the elevator boarding area.
- Strollers and accessibility, Chattanooga Zoo: Rent single ($10) or double ($12) strollers in the gift shop.
- Changing tables, Tennessee Aquarium: There are family restrooms on Level 1 of River Journey. There’s also a private nursing room to the left of the elevator on River Journey’s A-level.
- Changing tables, Creative Discovery Museum: There’s a nursing room and a universal changing table in the First Aid room.
- Changing tables, Chattanooga Zoo: There’s a private Mamava nursing station in the Gombe Interpretive Center.
- Use the free shuttle: A free electric shuttle loops around downtown and stops near the Aquarium and the Creative Discovery Museum.
- Bring a carrier: Ruby Falls and parts of downtown are hilly or have steps, so a carrier beats a stroller.

## Free and cheap wins
