> We read the event calendar of Des Moines Public Library and found seven storytimes that repeat every week at six branches: one toddler, two preschool and four family or mixed-age. Each one links to its event page on the library’s calendar.

Not on a weekly schedule right now. Every storytime we found is on a weekday; this week’s list has any one-off weekend story events.

### Do I need to sign up for storytime in Des Moines?
None of these list registration on the library calendar. Check the event page before you go, since popular times can fill a room.

### How do you check these storytimes?
Each storytime comes from the library system’s own event calendar: the same storytime at the same branch, weekday and time on at least three dates in four weeks. We only list a date, time or price when that page shows it, and anything we can’t confirm stays off. These were last checked Oct 20, 2026, and we recheck them every month, and the weekly list every Thursday. [How we choose and check](https://littlesweekly.com/how-we-choose/).
