> Halloween lands on a Saturday, and Chino, Rialto and Riverside all throw free city parties, from noon carnival rides at Ayala Park to evening trick-or-treating at Bryant Park. Redlands has a candy crawl between Citrus Plaza and Mountain Grove and a morning costume hike on the Orange Blossom Trail. County libraries from Eastvale to Muscoy add storytimes and trick-or-treat hours. This week has 18 outings, 18 of them free and 11 indoors.
