We checked two places to ice skate with little kids in and around Nashville: one holiday or outdoor rink and one indoor rink with public skating. Rink Under Broad at Nashville Yards opens Sat, Nov 21. One posts skate aids for beginners, like Rink Under Broad at Nashville Yards. Each card has season dates, prices, skate rental and aids from the rink’s own page.
Holiday season
Seasonal and pop-up rinks, soonest first. Outdoor rinks can close for warm or wet weather, so check the rink’s page the morning you go.
Nashville Yards · Downtown
With little kids: Minimum skating age is 3, and no carrying children on the ice. Kids under 14 skate with an adult.
Real ice this year (it was synthetic in 2025). Daily hours and tickets come out in early November.
Any season
Public skate sessions open to families. Session times change week to week, so the card links to the rink’s current schedule.
Antioch and Bellevue
Public skates are online registration only: make a DASH account first, then check in at the front desk.
